Client from the United States, purchasing a property in London
A client was introduced to Fibre by their Financial Advisor, as they were in the process of purchasing a property in London.
Their bank in the United States charges high fees to convert and sent money to the UK, whilst the client was conscious that foreign exchange risk might impact the cost of the property, by the time of completion, and they did not yet have a Sterling bank account active.
We could provide an account in the name of the client to transfer their US Dollars in an efficient manner, and convert into Pounds at a favourable rate, so that funds were in place prior to completion.
This approach was favoured by the client’s solicitor who was managing the sale, as this ensured their checks were completed in an efficient manner, and at the point of completion, the funds were transferred directly to their client account, which then credited within minutes.
